Keto Grilled Asian Pork Loin

Grilled Asian Pork Loin

One to two whole pork tenderloin with the silver skin cut off.

Marinade Ingredients:

½ cup tamari sauce

1 tsp. sesame oil

1 TBSP avocado oil

1 tsp. red chili flakes

¼ tsp. fresh ground pepper

1 TBSP erythritol

1 green onion stalk sliced

3 cloves garlic minced

1" knob ginger minced

1 tsp. Chinese 5 spice or the following

¼ tsp. Fresh cracked pepper

¼ tsp. cinnamon powder

¼ tsp. Anise seed

¼ tsp. Fennel seed

Pinch ground cloves

Directions:

Add all marinade ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

Place whole pork loin into a large ziploc bag.

Pour marinade into the bag and burp the air out.

Massage the meat through the bag to evenly coat.

Rest the bag in the fridge for 2-6 hours.

Preheat the grill to medium high heat.

Remove the pork loin from the marinade.

Discard the used marinade.

Grill pork tenderloin for about 3-5 minutes per side, turn as needed for fancy grill marks.

Total cook time varies, but it should take about 6-10 minutes.

Make the Asian Serving Sauce while the pork loin is cooking or resting.

Remove the pork loin and wrap it well in heavy tinfoil so the juices don't leak out.

Place the wrapped pork back on the grill for 8-10 minutes over indirect medium heat.

Remove the tinfoil package from the grill and rest covered with a towel for ten minutes before carving.

Optional Asian Serving/Dipping Sauce:

1 TBSP avocado oil

1 tsp. sesame oil

1 clove garlic minced

½" knob ginger minced

¼ tsp. fresh ground pepper

2 TBSP tamari sauce

1 TBSP rice vinegar

1 tsp. Erythritol

½ tsp. Red chili pepper flakes

Optional: Try stirring in 1 tsp. of toasted sesame seeds to the dipping sauce for a nice nutty flavor.

Dipping Sauce Directions:

Saute the garlic and ginger in the oils

Stir in the remaining ingredients, stir and heat well in a saucepan.

Serve on the sliced Asian pork tenderloin and steamed broccoli or use as a dip.

Notes:

There is enough marinade for two pork tenderloins.

Grilled zucchini also goes well with the sliced Grilled Asian Pork Tenderloin and Asian Serving/Dipping sauce.

This style of super moist Grilled Asian Pork Tenderloin can be made ahead of time and reheated in the tin foil pouch over gentle heat.

Massage and flip the pork while marinating every 30 minutes or so.

Grilling over charcoal gives this tenderloin some nice grill marks and adds an extra smoky flavor.

Use the dipping sauce sparingly; a little goes a long way, it’s concentrated and very flavorful.
